Have your laptop and at least three clear photos ready. We need its main specifications and condition. If you cannot find a specification, answer “Not sure” and provide the photo evidence requested below. Fields marked are required.

Which laptop are you selling?

We need these details to assess its value. Use the help below to find them. If you still cannot find an answer, enter “Not sure” and add the requested photos in step 3. Fields marked * are required.

Look on the underside or in “About” using the guide below. Include the model year if shown. Enter “Not sure” if you cannot find it.

How to find your laptop’s specifications

Windows: Open Settings → System → About. Copy the processor’s full name and “Installed RAM”. Open Settings → System → Storage to find the total storage size, not just the free space.

Graphics on Windows: Right-click Start → Device Manager → Display adapters. Copy the name or names listed, for example Intel Iris Xe or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.

Mac: Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. Copy the model, year, chip or processor, and memory. For storage, open System Settings → General → Storage.

Still unsure, or it will not start? Enter “Not sure” in the fields you cannot answer. In step 3, add a clear photo of the specification screen if you can open it. If you cannot, photograph the model label underneath instead. Do not send passwords or recovery keys.

Copy the full name if possible; “i5” alone does not tell us its age. Enter “Not sure” if needed.

Look for “Installed RAM” on Windows or “Memory” on a Mac.

Give the total capacity, such as 256 GB or 1 TB. Add SSD or HDD if you know it.

This is especially important for gaming laptops. Copy the display adapter name using the guide above, or enter “Not sure”. Optional for Apple.

What condition is it in?

Be as accurate as you can. Tell us about faults even if the laptop still works.

Think about the screen, keyboard, touchpad, ports, Wi-Fi, hinges, overheating or liquid damage.

Include battery life if it is unusually short. Photos of any damage are useful in the next step.

For example, Apple Activation Lock, a company or school login, or a BIOS password you cannot remove. Never send us a password.

Show us your laptop.

Include at least three clear photos of your actual device so we can assess its identity and condition. Your asking price is optional.

These three views are required
  1. The screen: switched on if it works, or showing the fault / blank screen if it does not.
  2. The open laptop: the full keyboard, touchpad and surrounding casing.
  3. The underside: a clear, readable close-up of its model label or printed model details.

Also include any damage and the charger. A photo of Settings → System → About (Windows) or About This Mac helps us verify the specifications. Keep personal documents, passwords and private information out of the pictures.

If you can open the specification screen, add it as a fourth photo alongside the three required views. If the laptop will not start or its settings are inaccessible, a readable underside/model-label photo is the fallback.

Select 3–6 photos together. Include a fourth photo if you chose to show the specification screen above. JPG, PNG or WebP; maximum 5 MB per photo and 24 MB in total. For HEIC photos, save/export as JPG or upload a screenshot of the photo.

    Enter an amount in South African rand, or leave it blank if you are unsure. This is your asking price, not a confirmed offer. We buy for resale, so any offer also considers testing, repairs and resale demand.

    Once your laptop is collected and passes inspection against what was declared, payment is sent via EFT within 24 hours. If anything undeclared turns up, we'll let you know before doing anything further.
